迎春
2 CommentsHere’s a New Year meditation from Hozouji. It’s a very positive one I think.
Here it is in kanji and then romaji:
迎春
私たちの人生
あらかじめ
決められた
道はないgeishun
watashitachi no jinsei
arakajime
kimerareta
michi ha naiQuite an easy one this one, (for a change). Here’s my translation:
Welcome in the New Year
The path of our life
Has not been pre-determined.I read this as a positive message: our lives are full of potential, nothing is decided in advance and it’s all up for grabs. In other words, as my friend Paul Sparks keeps telling me: “Go for it!” (which I fully intend to do!)

I like this poem. It’s simple, straightforward and positive. Are you into zen these days, Mike?
